Could it be that the files are too big? You could email them to me and I'll send them back to you in a smaller version that is just right for websites (lower resolution). They'll still have good focus.
Are they jpegs? Some times you get "tiff" or other wierd stuff. If you right-click on the photo you'll be able to see the "properties" of the photo, that is, the details.
