What a sad week for New Zealand

I keep watching the TVupdates about the Christchurch earthquake and thinking this can't be happening in New Zealand but the reporters are Kiwis?

It is a huge shock for all New Zealanders.  So many lifes lost and people injured.  Today there are 113 people killed.. it is so very sad.  I can't imagine how their families are coping losing a loved one in this tragedy but my heart breaks for them.

We are such a little country, how can it happen twice in 6 months to the same city.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is affected by this disaster.

I, too, have been saddened by all the tragedy. I live in Texas in the US. How can we help the people (other than money)?

hmmm I too, like you keep watching the updates, it all seems so surreal, so I can't begin to imagine what it might be like for those in Chch,

I think of you every time I see this on the news because you and Myra are my favorite NZ people.
We've been to Christchurch and I recognize the places, sort of.
I pray for the people who are hurting.

Updated count is something like 145!!!
AND still about 200 missing... it is scary... and so very sad.
It's hard to think of anything else when the TV is on...
We went to the beach today which was great cos it took our minds off it all for a while.
I hope you are having a good weekend mate.
